Action Alert: Input needed

In 2010, the RNAO created a Position Statement: Strengthening Client Centred Care in Long Term Care (Click here to download PDF). Position statements like this one are used by the RNAO when they are lobbying the government on behalf of nurses to enhance care for older persons living in Ontario.

The RNAO Position Statement: Strengthening Client Centred Care in Long Term Care was crafted using research evidence and was released quickly in 2010 so that it could have maximum impact on the health care decisions of policy makers and funders.

Now, an opportunity has arisen for GNAO to work collaboratively with RNAO by providing specific feedback and editorial suggestions for revisions to the document. But we need to act fast.

Please review this paper and ask yourself, "What do I want the RNAO to tell decision makers about Long Term Care?" Please summarize your comments in the form of a 1- to 2-page, point-form list and send to Lori Schindel Martin, President, GNAO, via email at: lori.schindelmartin@ryerson.ca by December 15, 2011.
